1980's ...

The Pirates averaged nearly 27 wins a season, claiming State Championships in 1983 and 1984.  The 1984 team set the single-season mark for wins with 33, a record that still stands today.  In addition to their two state titles, the Pirates won five straight region crowns from 1980 through 1984 (six straight including 1979) and four straight area crowns from 1986 through 1989 for a total of nine area/region titles.
